A Kansas City Newborn Photo Session – Twins!
Last spring a friend brought a friend of hers to my Kansas City portrait studio open house. We chatted a bit, they looked at my new space in Waldo, and then they left. Fast forward a little over a year later and that friend of a friend came back to the studio with her brand new twins!
I was so excited to have a set of twins coming in, especially because it had been nearly 18 months since my last set of newborn twins. (Thankfully I won’t have to wait another 18 months for the next set, as the next set on my schedule has already arrived and we’re just waiting on them to be sprung from the NICU!) Let me tell you – this set of boy/girl twins was an absolute dream to photograph! Twin sessions are notorious for taking hours, because once you get one soothed to sleep and posed the other often wakes up. This duo though? Amazing! Their session was actually faster than many of my recent singleton sessions, they slept that well!
Their older brother was excited to introduce them to me, and then get into pictures himself. The pride, love, and joy was apparent on their parents’ faces – so much love in that room!
It was insanely hard to narrow down which images to feature! So many new favorites from this session, both of the babies together and separately. I mean seriously…. check out the head of hair on this boy! Pretty sure I’m going to need to have him back in a few months for my That Hair! Project.
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into their newborn session! Whether you’re expecting one baby or multiples, I’d love to chat with you about my newborn sessions, or even show you around my studio. Please get in touch! The ideal time to schedule your newborn session is in the second trimester – that gives us plenty of time to talk about a possible maternity session and assures you a space on my busy calendar.
Amber Ritter CarucciHelen, you do amazing work! I smile just as big when I look at these pictures today as I did when you first shot them. Thank you for capturing my family so beautifully!
