Newborn Photography sessions are extra special at Faces You Love in Overland Park! Did you know Faces You Love has been listed as a Top Newborn Photographer in Kansas City for 8 years running now (since 2015)? Your baby is in great, professionally trained hands here!
We are pleased to offer Kansas City families two newborn session options! The Custom Newborn is our most popular option, and can be held at either our Overland Park studio or in your home (travel fee applies). The Tiny Newborn option is perfect for those on a budget, and happens exclusively at the studio. See more about both options below.
Newborn Session – Custom
This is the classic style of newborn session, with the legendary Faces You Love experience of included hair & makeup for mom! Session lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and includes parent/family/sibling poses, along with the full workflow of baby only poses. The investment for this style session starts at $1,490.
Newborn Session – Tiny
This offering from Faces You Love was created for those more budget and time conscience! You’ll also find it to be an excellent option if your full term baby is a little older (1-2 months), but you still really want those newborn like portraits. This session is baby only, and features all wrapped images using a variety of wraps and props. Session only lasts about an hour, and will generate an amazing variety of newborn pictures for you! The Tiny Newborn starts at $990. See an entire Tiny Newborn gallery here!

When Should You Book Your Newborn Photographer?
In an ideal world, you should be researching and booking your newborn photographer in your 2nd trimester. Newborn photographers (myself included) love to really customize the experience, and sometimes that means ordering a prop, or colored fabric that we don’t already own. The more time we have to plan and place custom prop orders for you, the better!
Already missed that window? It’s perfectly fine to book in the 3rd trimester too! The closer you get to your due date, the harder it may be to find a photographer with availability, but it’s definitely not impossible.
Finally, if you’ve already had your baby, please don’t think that all hope is lost and there’s no point in reaching out! I try to hold at least one last minute opening per month for situations like these.
Bottom line, the sooner you book your newborn photographer the better!
