The sweetest little newborn girl was in my Kansas City newborn photography studio last month! She was a tiny little thing (which meant she fit beautifully into some of my smaller props), and oh-so-sweet.
Isn’t she beautiful?!
This was the first newborn in quite a while that didn’t have older siblings, so we had the chance to spend a bit more time doing some posing with mom and dad – such a great change of pace for me!
After she dosed off during the photos with her mommy and daddy, we moved on to pictures of just her. She did wonderfully through the different set ups, and I was thrilled with the color combinations!
Even more special though, was the cradle we used in some of them…
Once upon a time, this sweet baby girl’s mama would spend time kneeling next to this little cradle, rocking her dolls. Her grandfather had made it for her to play with, and now his great-granddaughter looks awfully sweet in it too!
How special will it be for this little girl in 4 or 5 years to be playing with her own dolls and this cradle, knowing there’s a picture on a wall or in an album of her laying in that same cradle when she was a tiny newborn?
I just love the sentimental shots!
Thanks for looking, and leaving some love for the family in the comments below!
